In this interactive, two-part workshop, participants will explore the experience and science of the aging voice, including hormonal changes and their effects on both male and female singers.
The first session will examine common physiological changes associated with aging, along with the musical and emotional adjustments that can help singers continue making music with confidence and enjoyment. Participants will then work with vocal exercises and healthy singing practices designed to help them adapt to, manage, and even embrace these changes.
Both sessions will include group activities and individual coaching. Participants will apply exercises and strategies directly to their own songs, address personal vocal challenges, and explore ways to keep their voices strong, flexible, and expressive over time.
Please bring a lead sheet for a song you would like to work on. A brief excerpt will be used to apply exercises and explore approaches tailored to your voice.
