Singers improve by performing in public, and jam sessions offer an important opportunity to gain experience with new musicians. Whether the result is a triumph or a train wreck often depends on the singer’s ability to communicate clearly and confidently with the band.
In this fast-paced, one-day workshop, instructor Pamela Rose, joined by guitarist Bob Brumbeloe, will provide practical tools for calling tunes and explaining what you need from the musicians onstage. Participants will spend plenty of time singing and putting these skills into practice with live accompaniment. You’ll also learn how to find the best key for a song, strengthen your existing skills, and manage stage fright so you can perform with greater confidence and freedom.
Level
Open to singers of all levels.
