Lilan Kane is an Oakland-based soul singer and composer known for the emotional honesty and expressive depth of her performances. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Kane has sold out residencies at Yoshi’s Oakland and SFJAZZ, and has performed at venues including Minton’s Playhouse, Chris’s Jazz Cafe, the French Quarter Festival, Concord Pavilion, and the Fillmore Jazz Festival. Her music has been featured by KCSM, WGBO, Jazziz.com, SoulandJazz.com, SoulTracks.com, and ThisIsRnB.com. Recent self-produced releases include Harlem, Reckless, and TKMO (Time Keeps Moving On), which SoulTracks praised for its artistry and production. Kane has performed with the Pete Escovedo Latin Jazz Orchestra and Tom Browne, and has opened for artists including Hall & Oates, Lenny Williams, The Doobie Brothers, Chicago, Sharon Jones, Trombone Shorty, and Morgan James.
