Joyce Todd McBride is a pianist, composer, singer, and arranger from Berkeley, California. Influenced by the diverse musical culture of the Bay Area, she studied composition at Mills College and Anthropology of Music at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to directing the San Francisco-based women’s vocal ensemble, Conspiracy of Venus, and teaching voice and piano, Joyce currently performs as a jazz pianist and vocalist. Appearances with her various bands have included the Great American Music Hall, The Independent, Rickshaw Stop, the Make-Out Room, Amnesia, and the Palace of Fine Arts.
