Edward Evans

Edward Evans is a jazz trumpeter, composer, and educator known for his creativity, versatility, and boundary-pushing musical approach. With nearly two decades of experience in both jazz and classical trumpet performance, he brings a broad musical perspective and deep commitment to teaching. Raised in the Bay Area, Evans studied with renowned musicians Mic Gillette, Louis Fasman, and Dann Zinn before earning a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance from the University of Southern California, where he studied with Vince Mendoza and Ambrose Akinmusire. Evans performs regularly with the Electric Squeezebox Orchestra and at venues throughout the Bay Area. Praised for his versatility of sound, he has shared the stage with artists including Terence Blanchard, Alan Ferber, Mark Turner, and Chris Potter.
