Gain hands-on experience playing jazz and blues repertoire while learning foundational jazz theory, scales, chords, and arpeggios. This course is designed for guitarists with experience in another style who want to explore jazz and blues while developing improvisation and accompaniment skills.

About Mimi Fox
Mimi Fox is a virtuosic improviser, performer, composer, and recording artist who has been recognized in multiple DownBeat Magazine International Critics Polls. She has performed and recorded with GRAMMY Award winners Branford Marsalis, Diana Krall, Stevie Wonder, Joey DeFrancesco, and Terri Lyne Carrington, and has appeared as a featured soloist with numerous orchestras, most recently the Michigan Philharmonic.
Fox’s international touring career includes performances in Japan, Thailand, Europe, and Australia, as well as appearances at major festivals including the Montreal Jazz Festival, Guinness Cork Jazz Festival, Perth International Jazz Festival, and Jamaica Spice Jazz Festival. In the United States, she has performed at Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Monterey and Newport Jazz Festivals, the Kennedy Center, Blues Alley, and Yoshi’s. Her work has also been featured in documentaries for PBS and BET.
