Adam KolkerNew York City-based saxophonist Adam Kolker introduces a variety of techniques and exercises designed to help instrumentalists develop a personal voice as an improviser. Exercises focus on ear training, melodic shape and development, phrasing and deepening connection with with one’s instrument. Open to all levels. The techniques and concepts are valuable and applicable to improvisers at any stage of development.

Adam Kolker is a 2-time Grammy-nominated saxophonist/composer active in NYC who has played and/or recorded with Fred Hersch, Ray Barretto, Bruce Barth, John Abercrombie, Paul Motian, Billy Hart, Victor Lewis, John Hébert. His two most recent CDs, “Reflections” and “Flag Day,” are on Sunnyside Records.
