Black History Month Celebration: Rhonda Benin
Vocalist Rhonda Benin returns for this special concert in celebration of Black History Month. A master vocalist who sings jazz, blues, R&B, big band, pop, and African American folk songs and makes it all look easy, Benin has earned a reputation for her stellar showmanship, magnetic stage personality, humor, and great dancing. Also featuring Richard Howell, sax; Tammy L. Hall, piano; Ron Belcher, bass; and Deszon Claiborne, drums.

Black History Month Celebration: The Gerald Beckett Quartet
The Jazzschool is pleased to feature flutist Gerald Beckett as part of our Black History Month Celebration. A stalwart of the Bay Area music scene, Beckett has conducted Jazz Flute master classes in San Francisco and annually in Marseille and Paris. Beckett has released four acclaimed records, including 2011′s Standard Flute (Summit Records). Also featuring Gary Zellerbach, guitar; Ollie Dudek, bass; and Surya Parkasha, drums.
